The acoustics at Giants Stadium were much better than I expected at the venue. This time, the sound quality was great, and I finally got to experience the true thrill and electricity of a stadium concert. Kudos to the sound engineers; they did a great job.
After 30+ years, these guys can still REALLY rock and pack a stadium. They still rock and can still pack a stadium, even after 30+ years. In a 2+ hour set (with no break), they included a good mix of old favorites as well as songs from the new album. The crowd was really "into it" the entire time.
Brian Johnson can still hit those high notes, and Angus is better than ever. It's just amazing how he improves with age. The fireworks at the end were a nice touch. The solo at the end was simply jaw-dropping for me. And a lot of his one-handed tricks too -- very cool. To see him keep going... and going... like 10? 15? minutes non-stop.
I bought the tickets for my wife's birthday last month. This was her second time seeing Steve Jones (last time was ~20 years ago), and my very first time, so we were both very excited to see them. The whole show was simply awesome. After the encore set, the fireworks at the end were a nice touch. I'm definitely looking forward to the next time these guys come to town.
The entire time, the crowd was really "into it." Older fans from the Bon Scott days, younger fans, even whole families inducting their pre-teens into the ranks of AC/DC fandom.
